Our motivation

Why are we so committed to in-home caretaking?

It was the experience with our own grandparents that created the desire for a different approach to caretaking. As our loved ones wanted to stay in their respective homes, places that provided a feeling of comfort and independence, we had to look for alternative solutions. It soon became clear that we wanted to find in-home care at affordable prices. After extensive research, we realized that a lot of Eastern European caregivers were willing to work in Germany. Several months later we were overwhelmed by the positive feedback we received from our clients. This experience was a confirmation that in-home caretaking caters to the needs of elderly in a personal and compassionate way that nursing homes are not able to offer. In addition, caregivers who are trained for individual care help patients to improve their quality of life. These new job prospects enable caregivers to find employment, which in return improves their quality of life as well.
That is how mecasa came into existence, and now it successfully matches caregivers and seniors on a personal basis.

What does the future hold?

Our primary goal is to offer our clients a high quality of life and as much independence as possible. That is why our caregivers encourage and guide their clients to complete tasks as a team. The impact of being part of a companionship is not only highly valuable as it provides relief to worries about challenges of ageing, it can also fuel the willingness to carry out certain tasks as part of a team.
What is more, we want to make sure that joy, happiness and appreciation are part of our clients’ everyday lives. ‘Project Paw’ and ‘Making dreams come true’ are two ways to reaching this particular goal. However, we want both our clients and their families to be content with the provided care, which is why we encourage them to give feedback to us on a regular basis.
